Manchester history tour plans for next year
If you came on my Angel Meadow tour this year, thank you. I have some big plans for next year.
After finishing my second season of history tours in Manchester, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came along this year.
I’m amazed to say I’ve finished the autumn in the top ten tours and activities in Manchester according to TripAdvisor’s current popularity index.
This year, I welcomed more than 260 guests to Angel Meadow including visitors from Denmark, Canada, the US and Wuppertal in Germany — the home of Friedrich Engels — as well as new friends including Bob and Lisa from Baltimore.
I also had the privilage of meeting Angel Meadow descendants including Hazel — pictured here with a photo I found of the house in Charter Street where her ancestors lived.
You can read some very kind reviews of the tour here.
After losing the heel of my shoe in a heavy downpour last year, I’ve only seen rain on one tour day this year — it just shows how the weather is changing.
I’ll be hibernating the tour over winter while carrying on with my family history work, but I’ll also be working away behind the scenes to write and plan a new tour.
I’m keeping the details under wraps for now, but here’s a little clue. Can you work it out?
If you want to be kept in the loop when I announce the new tour and get advance notice of dates and tickets, please do join my email list using the subscribe button below so you don’t miss any updates.
Hopefully, I’ll see you on the road somewhere in Manchester in the new year…

That map shows exactly where my Irish 3 x great grandparents lived when they came to Manchester. I’ll definitely be booking on this tour when you announce dates.
