Step back in time with an Angel Meadow history tour

Hear about life in Victorian Manchester's most notorious slum in a new history walking tour starting in March 2024

Hope you’re all okay and have had a good start to the new year.

There’s no story this week but I wanted to let you know about a project I’ve started to kick off 2024.

I’ve had a few people asking on Facebook if I do tours of Angel Meadow, so I’ve decided to give it a go and have booked the first dates in March.

The tours last 90 minutes and I’m planning to keep the group sizes small while I get used to it — and that will give people time to ask lots of questions and take photographs as we walk along.

You will hear stories from my Angel Meadow book and will be introduced to some of the area's characters, as well as hearing about how our Mancunian ancestors lived and survived in the area.
